Audience Talkback: A Maroon's Guide to Time and Space

A Maroon’s Guide to Time and Space

"This is not a play."

Catastrophic Theatre is proud to present the latest work from Houston writer, actor, and director Candice D'Meza. A MAROON'S GUIDE TO TIME AND SPACE is an immersive theatrical experience led by The Maroon Frequency, the unembodied consciousness of freedom-making African people across times and dimensions. At the helm of this cosmic journey? Abolitionist and conductor of the Underground Railroad, Harriet Tubman. Board an entirely new time ship in search of eternal freedom for all. Release the rigidity of linear roadmaps through this transcendent, multidisciplinary work that demands new ways of dreaming, imagining, and world building. A MAROON'S GUIDE TO TIME AND SPACE is a groundbreaking, mind-expanding exploration of Afrofuturism, combining elements of science fiction, fantasy, and African and African American culture.

The portal to the multiverse opens May 26 and runs through June 17.

On June 2nd, I am hosting an audience talkback with the theme "Following Your Joy"

Ticket prices are "pay what you can". The link for the June 2nd show is here.
