Our Old House: A Look at Our America

Ourselves | Our Culture | Our Government

At the Quiet Rebel, LLC, the core of everything we do is HUMAN Centered Conversations, with LOVE first, always. We curate space to discuss the topics and ideas that we might otherwise avoid. You’re invited to a gently guided conversation about who we are as a nation and as citizens - how we came to be this way and the direction(s) we’re heading.

Our Old House: A Look at Our America - Ourselves, Our Culture and Our Government is conversation with other humans who care about the country spanning 15 weeks - divided into 3, 5-week sections. The conversation title is inspired by Isabel Wilkerson’s analogy in Caste: The Origin of our Discontent. In Chapter 2, Wilkerson offers us a comparison of America to an old house. If you haven’t already read it, I encourage you to do so. The link above takes you to my Amazon Affiliate page. Feel free to purchase from wherever you normally purchase books.

Below, you can read a summary for each of the three sections.

  • Section One: Examining Our Personal America

  • Section Two: Isabel Wilkerson’s 8 Pillars of Caste & Our Role in Them

  • Section Three: Group Reading of the US Constitution
